My OSINT Training (MOT)

Last Updated: April 27, 2026

The Short Version

We know you care about privacy. So do we. Here's what you need to know:

1. Who We Are

My OSINT Training (MOT) is an OSINT and digital investigations training company. We offer online courses, live training events, and free browser-based tools to help investigators, analysts, and curious folks do better open source intelligence work.

2. What Information We Collect and Why

When you enroll in a course or create an account, we collect the information you provide during registration, such as your name and email address. We use this to manage your enrollment, send you course-related updates, and track your progress.

When you make a purchase, payment is processed through Stripe or PayPal. We do not store your full credit card details. Those transactions are handled directly by those payment processors in accordance with Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI-DSS).

When you sign up for our mailing list, we collect your email address. We use Mailchimp to send marketing emails. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send, or by contacting us directly at [email protected].

When you visit our website, Thinkific (our hosting platform) may collect standard technical information such as your IP address and browser type as part of running the site. We also use basic web analytics to understand how people use our site. None of this is tied to ad-targeting.

When you use our free bookmarklet tools (at tools.myosint.training), the tools run entirely in your browser. My OSINT Training does not collect, log, or transmit any data from your use of those tools. The only exception is the Cash App viewer page, which combines profile data and image data you retrieve so you can view them together. We do not log or track anything on that page either.

3. How We Get Your Consent

When you provide your information to create an account, make a purchase, or sign up for our mailing list, you are consenting to our collection and use of that information for the purposes described in this policy.

If we ever want to use your information for a different purpose, we will ask for your permission first.

To withdraw your consent: You can contact us at any time at [email protected] to ask us to stop contacting you or to request removal of your data from our systems.

4. How Long We Keep Your Data

We retain your account and enrollment data until you ask us to delete it. If you would like your data removed, just contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it from our systems. Please note that Thinkific, as our hosting platform, may retain archived copies of data for legitimate business and legal compliance purposes per their own privacy policy.

5. Our Hosting Platform: Thinkific

Our courses and website are hosted by Thinkific Labs Inc., a Canadian company. Your account data is stored on Thinkific's secure servers.

Thinkific will not use your personal information to independently contact or market to you. You can read Thinkific's full Privacy Policy at https://www.thinkific.com/privacy-policy/ and their Terms of Service at https://www.thinkific.com/terms-of-service/.

Because Thinkific is a Canadian company, your data may be stored and processed in Canada or other countries where Thinkific operates. For users in the UK or European Economic Area, Thinkific uses standard contractual clauses to ensure your data receives appropriate protection when transferred internationally.

6. Third-Party Services We Use

In addition to Thinkific, we work with a small number of third-party services that help us run our business:

Mailchimp is our email marketing platform. When you sign up for our mailing list, your email address is stored in Mailchimp. You can unsubscribe at any time. Mailchimp has its own privacy policy at https://mailchimp.com/legal/privacy/.

Stripe and PayPal are used for payment processing. If you make a purchase, your payment information is handled directly by these processors and governed by their own privacy policies and PCI-DSS compliance standards.

These providers are only given access to the information needed to perform their specific services. We do not authorize them to use your data for their own marketing purposes.

Once you leave our site and navigate to a third-party site, that site's own privacy policy applies. We are not responsible for the practices of other websites.

7. Cookies

Our website uses cookies, which are small files stored in your browser that help the site function and remember your session.

We use cookies to keep you logged in, remember your preferences, and understand how people use our site.

We do not use cookies for ad targeting. We do not run advertising on our site and do not share cookie data with advertisers.

Most web browsers let you control cookie settings. You can set your browser to notify you when cookies are received, limit which cookies are accepted, or delete existing cookies. Note that disabling cookies may affect how some parts of our site work.

8. Security

We take the security of your information seriously. Our site operates over TLS (the current industry-standard encryption protocol), and Thinkific's platform includes security measures including firewalls, encrypted data storage, and access controls.

No method of transmitting data over the internet is 100% secure, but we follow current industry best practices and work with providers who do the same.

Your account security also depends on keeping your password confidential. Please do not share your password, and log out when using shared devices.

9. Age Requirement

Our site and courses are intended for adults. By using our site, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your region if that is higher.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with their information, please contact us at [email protected] and we will remove it promptly.

10. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have specific rights regarding your personal data.

California residents (CPRA): Under the California Privacy Rights Act, you have the right to know what personal data we have collected about you, to request that we delete it, to correct inaccurate data, to request that we stop sharing your data, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell personal data.

UK and EEA residents (GDPR): You have the right to access your personal data, correct it, request erasure, restrict how we process it, object to processing, and request a copy of your data in a portable format. If you have provided consent for any processing, you may withdraw that consent at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within one month.

11. Disclosure of Your Information

We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for their marketing purposes.

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, or if you violate our Terms of Use.

If My OSINT Training is ever acquired by or merged with another company, your information may be transferred to the new owners as part of that transaction. If that happens, we will notify you.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top. If we make significant changes, we will let you know through our site or by email.

We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
